Yes, if you set your Oracle SID and Oracle home to the new values, and register your database, RMAN will recognize your newly named database.
If you are using RMAN scripts that are
pre-loaded into your target database,
you will need to reload them once the
new database has been registered. Also, if
you are using any hard-coded SIDs in
your RMAN scripts, you will need to
change them. Hopefully you're passing
the SID in as a parameter to your script
and not hard-coding it.
