Connecting Oracle server from Forms 6.0

Hi,

I am facing problem with connecting Forms 6.0 to my oracle server. How to configure the connectivity ?
Prior to installing Forms 6.0,I had Oracle 8i client and I configured it which works fine.Nowalong with Forms6.0,it has installed oracle 8.0.5 client also.
When I try to give database string in forms 6.0,it gives me error - Tns could not resolve service name...I tried updating tnsnames.ora but it's not serving my purpose.
