I'd love to help, but I'm a little confused.  Are we talking about VB, Pro*C,
OCI, Pro*Cobol, what?  I know you need to use the ":" in Pro*C, pro*Fortran, and
Pro*Cobol.  It is not required in OCI, VB I have no idea.  Can you clarify?
