If you are using Unix shell, you can use the mail feature of unix
by greping an event keyword (you may choose a keyword for all the
said events i.e. DB EVENT: error ... so your grep word is DB EVENT) and post the greped message on a unix file. Have a batch job that
will grep the message and forward it to emails of the parties concerned.
