Ajay,

    ORA-00257 means the archiver is stuck. To correct:

1. connect internal via svrmgrl
2. run "archive log list"
3. look for where the archiver belives it's sending the log files, ex:

Database log mode              Archive Mode
Automatic archival             Enabled
Archive destination            /ora1/archive/active/  <--- here we are
Oldest online log sequence     168479
Next log sequence to archive   168481
Current log sequence           168481

4) check out this area, is it out of space? If so, do whatever you usually do
to clean it out, the archiver will resume by itself.

Hi Guys,
while trying to connect to one of my database users getting ora-00257 can't conn connect only as internal acr error. I checked the disk space which looks ok. what should be the possible fix.
