Sounds like we just crossed wires pretty badly. But, run your browser over to: http://www.luminate.com/solutions/oracle/mamba.html You can read about Mamba & even download a PDF on it. Basically it opens up the database internals to those you really don't want to have DBA capabilities. Personally I like it, but it does take a little work on your part with those you give access to. Choose carefully! One cup will provide eternal peace, the other an eternally ringing pager/phone. Dick Goulet ____________________Reply Separator____________________ Author: "Koivu; Lisa" Date: 1/5/2001 12:28 PM Thanks to whoever it was that mentioned Mamba to the list. This is prett= y cool. It shows me a majority of the things I monitor (but not everything= ) and install was a breeze. But I'm watching it connect to the database and it looks like it will lea= ve dead connections behind when you quit the browser. I see no 'disconnect'= button in the app. This will take care of itself with profiles, but is there something I am missing?
