Home -> Community -> Mailing Lists -> Oracle-L -> RE: [Q] Flush share pool can improve performance?

This is often true, but normally indicates an oversized shared pool. There's lot of discussion of the issues on the Ixora web site.

One of our vendor suggest us run "ALTER SYSTEM FLUSH SHARED_POOL" every 5 minutes on ORACLE 8 environment. They claim it will improve ORACLE performance. I need your opinion. Thanks.
