I have Oracle 8.1.7 on AIX.
Yesterday when I wanted to shutdown my database with shutdown immediate, It took a very long time to do it (I know the reason). Problem is that this process generated log:

SESSION ID:(1.1) 2000-12-27 09:09:47.841 ORA-00445: background process "EMN0" did not start after 120 seconds
2000-12-27 09:15:06.443 ORA-00445: background process "EMN0" did not start after 120 seconds It seems that EMN0 is a new process in 8.1.7 (something with advanced quing), and according to my Oracle support this error is nothing dangerous. Do you have any idea what is this really ?
