What do you have the compatibility set to in the init.ora file? Just a
thought.

Subject: ORA-904 possible workaround
Hi,
one of our customers have upgraded db server from 7.3.4 to 8.1.6. Since that time they get multiple ORA-904 errors:
ORA-00904 invalid column name
Cause: The column name entered is either missing or invalid.
Action: Enter a valid column name. A valid column name must begin with a
letter, be less
than or equal to 30 characters, and consist of only alphanumeric characters
and the special
characters $, _, and #. If it contains other characters, it must be
enclosed in double quotation marks.
It may not be a reserved word.
The errors appear in all modules of our system.
Did anybody encounter such situation before? I would be appreciate for any help or tip.
Ed
