Relinking error while installing oracle8.0.4 on Solaris 5.7

Hi,

I was trying to install oracle 8.0.4 for solaris 2.5/2.6.1 on a machine having solaris 5.7.

During the installation, it gave the following error:

"Error during action 'Relinking wrap executable...'"

The details for this says:

ld: elf error: file /export/home1/oracle8/app/oracle/product/ 8.0.4/lib//libclient.a(upicdc.o): unknown type, unable to process using elf(3E) libraries

Can this be solved by setting LD_LIB_PATH?
