Yes, The results are same .

Without rtrim, the query takes 00:03:12.93 with rtrim the query takes 00:00:00.83

I am not clear as to how addition of rtrim can make such a big difference. We have also opened a tar with oracle. and they have been working on this for the last
4 days.
