You can and should change the system password. I also change the
passwords for sys, outln, dbsnmp, mdsys, ordsys, ordplugins. Except for
system, I set all passwords to a random string.
For import/export, you might consider creating a user that has only create session, imp_full_database and exp_full_database privs. This way, if you have cron scripts or parfiles with hardcoded login/password, the system password won't be exposed.
