I'm trying to follow the instructions in Metalink Note
121176.1 for getting Oracle to work under Red Hat 7.0. Part
of the process involved modifying $ORACLE_HOME/bin/genclntsh
and then running that script in order to generate a new
libclntsh.so. I've made the recommended modifications,
double and triple-checked them, and yet I get the following
error:
[oracle_at_localhost bin]$ ./genclntsh
i386-glibc21-linux-gcc: libclntsh.so.8.0: No such file or directory
Has anyone been through this before? Am I issuing the genclntsh command incorrectly? Is something else wrong? Is there something else I need to do that's not covered in the note?
Best regards,
Jonathan
