Urgent - SQL ERROR: -1458 - ORA-01458: invalid length inside

We got this error message after a migration from 7.3.4 to 8.1.5.

I looked it up on Metalink but didn't find anything promising. Lots of stuff but nothing that I can use.

Can anyone shed some light on this error?

Is this something I can fix or do the developers need to change their code?
