Home -> Community -> Mailing Lists -> Oracle-L -> RE: How to have a DB specific PASSWD file?
Ruth,
Thanks for ur reply.
My doubt is, in general, Oracle looks at the default
location($ORACLE_HOME/dbs) for the password file.
How to specify the database specific password file at this default location
as we don't have any such
options in the syntax.
Can I conclude that you have to set ORACLE_SID before creating a passwordfile for specific database.
I am also expecting some response for my second issue(automatic creation of passwd file).
thank you,
