Hi Salu
You need to install the partition option when you install the Oracle Server software.
Shutdown the Oracle instance
Run the installer program.
Choose partitioned objects as the product to be installed.

Subject: Re: HELP - Partitioned option not enabled
Hello Rajanish
We do have an enterprise version, which is working fine on production box, i
mean with partitioned option. I just installed same on test box but unable
to create partiotioned table.
when i connect to test box it show as follows:
Connected to:
Oracle8 Enterprise Edition Release 8.0.5.0.0 - Production
PL/SQL Release 8.0.5.0.0 - Production
when i connect to prod box it show:
Connected to:
Oracle8 Enterprise Edition Release 8.0.5.0.0 - Production
With the Partitioning option
PL/SQL Release 8.0.5.0.0 - Production
I just can't remember what i did to get partiotioned optioned enabled on prod. Do i have to install it from CD or is there any command? There is a table which i cant recall that shows all the options installed.
Thanking in advance
Salu
