Hi Paul,

I think that's right, but I have not got time to check now. If you're curious, the way to check is to use event 10053. Its trace says exactly what selectivities are being assumed.

Hi Ed,

Whilst I haven't confirmed this with any tests, the doc from an internals course which I took says that the default selectivity for
bounded/unbounded range scan for bind variables is 5%.

Let me know if you find anything to the contrary.
