Home -> Community -> Mailing Lists -> Oracle-L -> Background-processes die / No logs - Very urgent help needed
Hi all,
I'm faced with a strange problem and frankly I don't have the experience to know what I should be looking for :
For whatever reason unknown all background-processes die. The listener also
stops.
The status of all sessions is turned into Active but our SQL*FORMS en
SQL*MENU application won't connect to the database. Simply returns : working
...
I can find nothing in the alert.log concern the death of the background-processes, I can't find seperate trace-files of either of these processes.
The only thing I find when rebooting the system (the only thing that seems to work well enough to leave the DB running for the remainder of the day) are trace files containing :
Dump file /opt/oracle/oracle72/rdbms/log/ora_10749.trc
