Mala,

If you have another server, try to restore an instance on that box from one of your backups. If you don't have another server, and you have space, try to create a new SID from one of your backups. If you don't have the space, lobby management for another box or more disk while you pray.

I have hot backup script running on unix box.I have not testesed yet.What will be the best way to test recovery of database.I have 8 instances running

on Unix box.
