Has anyone had a problem in the past deleting statistics? I analyzed my
production database and performance suffered dramatically. We are running
8.0.5 on SunOS 5.6. The sar command shows lots of user time and wait i/o
that was not there prior to analyzing. I ran analyze <table> delete
statistics, but performance has not returned. Am I missing something? Is
there some bug in deleting statistics that I don't know about? I also
flushed the shared pool just in case some bad sqls where hanging out there
and I rebooted over the weekend, but performance is still poor.
I tried looking at Metalink, but it is unavailable at this time (shocking, I know...)
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
Steve
