If I were you increase the settings, otherwise you could end up with lots off dead-locks and in the trace files y'll find those dead-locks with
'no-rows ' specified.

(look also at your indexes, they have a default off 2)

We have on some table an initrans of 2 but I think looking at the results 4 might have been better.

Our client has a table which will have over 200 updates and 100 inserts every second. Should I leave the default setting for inittrans or should I increase the value of this parameter. Can someone shed some light on this issue.
