Any dangers when changing pctfree etc on live system ?

A fellow DBA has asked if it is completely safe to change the pctfree values etc on a live
system.

I thought there shouldn't be any isues as no data is actually being changed only
the default storage parameters that will be used when new blocks are created.

Any experience, gotchas etc appreciated
