Do you mean, if you are already logged in, can you tell if a given name/password is valid? Or do you mean, if you are logged in, can you tell if a given name/password is the same one you're logged on as? Or do you you mean, if you're not logged in, can you tell if a given name/password is valid without actually logging on?
