We don't get core dumps either (we'd almost wish we did though) we get no info whatsoever.

We've hit listener hangs in 8.1.6; kill -9 has always worked though, and
so
far no core dumps. I believe I read on metalink that frozen listeners are
not entirely fixed until 8.1.7

FYI It seems we hit BUG 1352511
No fix and desupported Oracle version. --> UPGRADE? Problem not yet reported in 8.1.6
