Home -> Community -> Mailing Lists -> Oracle-L -> Off Topic - Can I automate start of Precise Collectors?
This is slightly off-topic. We are using Precise Enterprise
Performance Products (Precise/SQL) version 3.1. The
agents are on our Sun Solaris 2.6 unix server. Client is
on Windows pc.
Our listener is pretty flaky and seems to go down every few days. The collector is often down when we come in in the morning even though the database has been up all night. Our developers are tired of sending requests to have the listener and especially, the collector brought back up. I know that I can automatically restart the listener if I have to.
What I want to know is how I can detect whether the collector is down. Also, is there a way that I can restart just the collector from the operating system (not from the tool). Received on Fri Oct 27 2000 - 12:00:06 CDT
