Kay,
It's okey. I know from the past experience with dealing with Oracle support that some how I must "listen" and "follow" their instruction as of rebuilding the database. And I am not such a beginner that I will go ahead and test them on my production system without knowing the consequences! :)
It's funny. The event that they asked me to set is not the event BUMP_SCN level 1. It's actually the event adjust_scn. We tried several level. The maximum that we can adjust is only 3. That is why we give it up as the differences is over 600. I don't think I can reopen my database 200 times that way!! :)

Subject: RE: Urgent! Online redo log files corruption
Hi !!
Sorry for my the incomplete message. I Should have told that 'YOU MUST do an export/import after that'
I assumed it was implied in that and hence the confusion. But it is true that the information is recorded in the control files..
But as for the OFFICIAL support status goes.. Rachel is right. As Oracle Support asked her to bump scn ( I think is is thru the event BUMP_SCN Level 1.. which increases the SCN to i Billion .. Am I right Winne??)
And what i was intertested at that time (an Urgent flagged message at the weekend seeking for support) is to clarify the internal workings of that paramter..
Thanks Satar..
