There seem to be a lot of bugs fixed in 8.1.7 than are not listed in = the release notes and read me. At least the bugs I reported against 8.1.6 all appear fixed so far. Even the = v$session_longops view has fewer apparantly corrupt sys entries. So far the only problem I've encountered with 8.1.7 is that the = intelligent agent discovers Apache as a service and lists it as such in services.ora. OEM 1.6 does not mind and is happy to = discover 8.1.7 with the Apache service. OEM 2.1, however, can't handle the Apache service and errors when attempting to = discover 8.1.7.
