Probably because a lot of people subscribed to the list don't want to see garbage. It is also a bandwidth problem (or at least can be for some people).

If you send a "help" email per the message trailer at the bottom of each post, you will eventually find the address of the Fatcity owner. He can provide more detail if you need it.
