I already found the problem: our systems admin put a sencond network card (NIC) into the box. Any hints on how to configure what NIC card is going to be used?

I can't connect to db from my client. I can ping to the machine.

Z:\>tnsping daffy

Attempting to contact

Z:\>sqlplus user/pw_at_daffy

ERROR:
ORA-12535: TNS:operation timed out

When I'm locally on the server, I can connect as user/pw_at_alias

Any ideas?
