I was given manuals by our senior dba (a Japanese) to study and work at , but i think they are not enough. Could anyone there give me additional materials to read on. I actually lack on some maintenance and performance tuning routines. I don't do much job here aside from checking that all applications are smooth running and support users (application-based).
