To my understanding, the new version of Oracle products (Database and
Developer to my experience) restricts installation in an existing home
directories as opposed to older versions of the products.
They also manage multiple oracle homes by themselves.

Hi,
We are trying to install Oracle 8i and Developer/2000 in the same NT box. The Oracle 8i installation process works fine , but when we try to install Developer it says that the ORACLE_HOME C:\ORA8NT is already been used by another Oracle application.
How can we avoid this ???
Thanks in advance,
Antonio Belloni
