Ora - 06401 error

Hi DBAs,

I have installed Designer 6i on Win NT Terminal 4.0. on this Oracle 8.1.6 was pre loaded and working fine. but after the Designer installation I am not able to execute svrmgrl and start my database. It is showing error " ORA-06401 : NETCMN: Invalid driver designator " .

I have installed both the software in different homes.

I am not able to fix up the issue as why it is coming. I have checked my Listener, Sqlnet, Tnsnames files and all are seems ok.

Can anyone Pl. help me
