You should also note the one dollar and the two dollar coins. There are a
lot of stories floating around, but it does not make sense why the 1$ are
bigger than the 2$ coins.
In the mornings when I buy my paper at the train station and fiddle with the coins in my pocket, I sometimes swear to myself, but I have gotten used to it and now - and I just put it down as some Aussie humor.
I consider myself an average DBA, but would certainly ask for more than $80K pa or $80 ph. Actually the range down here in Melbourne is around 50 - 150 K pa. An evarage house in an average suburb here would cost around 170-200K, so for an average DBA here is it not bad!

No, the coins that we have here are not plastic. They are made of gold extracted in Ballart and Bendigo during the Gold rush.
BTH 80K is average salary of permanent employee. The average contractor
rate
would be about $AUS 70-80 per hour.
