Is that Aussie dollars? If so, based on the current exchange rate of .5786
US dollars to 1 Aussie dollar, that would be $46,288 per year American.

Hi Suhen,
Biae dankie. From what I understand, 80K is about right for an "average"
Oracle
DBA in Sydney, and a bit more in Melbourne. To put that in context, the
average
income for wage and salary earners is about 42K.

Hi
I guess it would depend on experience.
I somehow get the feeling that there are not many DBA's in Australia as
one would expect. Not too many DBA's on this user group for one except
the brilliant Mr Steve Adams.
I also get a feeling that there are not too many Oracle DBA positions
as well.
Could someone also share some light on this.
I would think that the salary of a permanent Oracle DBA in Sydney with about 3 years Oracle experience is about 80K.
Best Regards
Suhen
