Could someone please provide a brief explanation about how a
developer could make use of bind variables when running ASP code
on a box that does not host the database?
For example, the 8.0.5 database is on an HP-UX server and the web servers are Windows 2000 and Windows NT servers. They web apps repeatedly generate the same sql statements with string literals in the where clause. I don't understand how bind variables could be implemented in this instance.
