Home -> Community -> Mailing Lists -> Oracle-L -> Re: Bad response time after upgrading from 7.2 to 7.3.4 --
Thanks for the update. I have found that on a Novell network with Veritas =
backup exec that the cpu is running at 50% or more after a backup and the =
network card is sending and receiving traffic into a black hole. The =
network group has not resolved the problem yet, but a "reset router" =
command clears the cpu usage and the server is normal again.
Thanks,
ROR

Hello,
To all who is interested it was a network card in the server that for some
reason was working in the half duplex mode instead of full duplex. The =
port
the box was connected to is running in the full duplex. Thus the traffic
collisions, higher CPU load, etc.
Thanks,
Val Gamerman.
