Home -> Community -> Mailing Lists -> Oracle-L -> OT: deprecated
What a coincidence. I just talked with one of our team leads about this
on Wednesday. He sent a request to have a package recompiled because
three procedures had been deprecated. I sent him back a reply asking
what deprecated meant in this context. I'd only heard it used in the context
of deprecating or self-deprecating humor (as in making fun of someone
or yourself).
He looked it up in Webster's dictionary and said it had several meanings. One of them had to do with praying for relief or something like that. I thought that was appropriate.
