If you still remember the password for system, login as system, and give sys a new password.
or
use password file authentication to login and reset the password or
go to the server, start server manager, connect internal, alter user sys identified by newpassword

We have an installation of Oracle 8 on Unix that we use only for demonstrations. We have forgotten the sys password.

Anything we can do?

John
