Oracle DBA Needed in West Palm Beach, Florida

West Palm Beach, Florida company needs an Oracle DBA to join its' I.T. staff. The selected candidate will be responsible for the installation and administration of
Oracle RDBMS consisting of schema object creation, database maintenance and application
tuning. Will also be accountable for design and implementation of enterprise wide
database backup strategies and support application development. This position requires the ability to work flexible hours with extended support during after hour's operations. Some weekend work on-site may be required. Minimal travel may be required.

Responsibilities:

• Administer all Oracle databases within Client including PeopleSoft and Clarify Databases
• Installation and upgrade the Oracle Server and application tools
• Monitor and optimize the performance of databases
• Plan for backup and recovery of databases
• Allocate and create database objects
• Automation of Internal System Processes
• Provide long term Enterprise Database Strategies
• Leading and mentoring

Required Skills:

• Working knowledge of client/server technology
• Experience in a multi-company/division projects
• Minimum 3 years experience in Oracle Database Administration
• Minimum 3 years tuning and executing SQL
• Background and experience in UNIX, Novell and Windows NT operating systems
• Experience with PeopleSoft Applications Preferred.

Education:

• BA/BS in Computer Science or business related field
• U.S. citizenship or Permanent residency is required.

This company is willing to pay up to 90K base salary depending on experience.
