Helmut,
I believe if you're using odbc that is its default tracing file. You should have an odbcad32.exe (windows 95) or its equivalent which would let you check that and turn tracing off if desired.

Subject: Strange: sql.log file
Hi!
This is 8.1.6 on Win2k Advanced Server.
We have a strange thing occuring here: a file named sql.log shows up on c:\ and I can't delete it because it is locked by some process. I looked in the Oracle configuration and all Net8 tracing is done to c:\oracle\ora81\network\log. So this can't be an Oracle log file.
We have no idea where it comes from. Size: 350 MB and growing.
Is there a way to find out what process is generating and locking the file? Here is a sample from the file:
Processid:{3D14 318-6dc ENTER SQLAllocEnv HENV * 7318F510 Processid:{3D14 318-6dc EXIT SQLAllocEnv with return code 0 (SQL_SUCCESS) HENV * 0x7318F510 ( 0x009d14f0) Processid:{9BE6 2d0-708 ENTER SQLSetConnectAttrW SQLHDBC 00991C60 SQLINTEGER 1 <SQL_ATTR_MAX_ROWS> SQLPOINTER 0x00000000 SQLINTEGER -6 Processid:{9BE6 2d0-708 EXIT SQLSetConnectAttrW with return code 0
(SQL_SUCCESS)
SQLHDBC 00991C60 SQLINTEGER 1 <SQL_ATTR_MAX_ROWS> SQLPOINTER 0x00000000 SQLINTEGER -6
Thanks,
Helmut
