The characterset of the database to be imported must be the same with the
database that you export.
The most important point is the NLS_LANG parameter must be set correct in
the .profile file of the OS user that you import.

Subject: Import/Export with data containing portuguese characters
I have a database with data having characters (all accents in portuguese language). When I make an export and import it to another database, I lose all special characters like "ã" transformed into "?". Is there options of Import or Export to conserve these characters ?
Please Help !!!
