set time ??

Dear all,
i'm a new subsriber and newt to oracle here. please help me out with this question.
how to set time in date datatype
for example,

Date_datatype

---

12-12-2000 12:12:00
01-23-2000 15:19:00
.
.
.
.

and i want the result as

Date_datatype

---

12-12-2000 07:48:00
01-23-2000 07:48:00
.
.
.
.
.

all are with remain date but time is set to 07:48:00 thanks in advance
