I wouldn't disagree with you on that point, I always find myself getting on my Sun box to test out anything that has to do with interoperability Oracle and different operating systems. I typically script and code so that I can run my stuff on Sun Sparc Solaris, Intel Linux, and HP-UX. And so far, I typically I don't run into too many compatibility problems. As far as OS's go though, no one will ever truest Linux 100%, and thats a shame.
