I heard about one company that is implementing mirrored disk farms, with =
the disk farms at least 50 miles apart...

So what are some solutions for when the disk/database fails? I understand
Replication and have been introduced to Oracle's Standby Database. And I =
am
sure there are other possibilities. I would be interested in hearing what
have some of you implemented.

disks fail, you are still SOL.
