dbanywhere (symantic) problems

We use dbanywhere (Symantic) to connect to Oracle 8.0.5 using our Java enabled web interface. Periodically the dbanywhere service on NT stops and needs
to be restarted. Sometimes the service appears to be running, but dbanywhere is not talking to the database.

Has anyone experienced problems with dbanywhere? If so, what were they and how did you solve them? Also, is dbanywhere being supported anymore, by whom?

Here is the hardware/software config.
DEC Alpha VMS Oracle 8.0.5, NT4 sp5, Chilisoft ASP, Symantic dbanywhere, Netscape Enterprise 3.5.1.

Thanks, Mike
