There is the orac_dba freeware tool on http:// http://www.kkits.com/orac_dba <http://www.kkits.com/orac_dba > This tool is written
in perl using dbi and tk packages so you'll need to download that. The tool itself is excellent.

I use Savant Diagnostic Center (part of Savant Enterprise). It gives a great overview of the health of your database and provides drill-down capability to get to the bottom if a problem.

Dear DBAs !

I'm desperately looking for a simple tool ( either Freeware or to purchase ) to administer / monitor / diagnose a remote Database .

I'm currently investigating the Oracle Enterprise manager , and , to be honest , i don't like it too much . ( But probably i just haven't explored all of it's power yet ) .

Which tools are U guys using ? Do U like them ?

Please drop me a line .

Many thanks in advance .
