Home -> Community -> Mailing Lists -> Oracle-L -> RE: db_file_simultaneous_writes parameter
Hi Vivek,
So far as I am aware, this parameter has no impact other than being used as part of the derivation for the default value of _db_block_write_batch. Therefore, tuning should follow all the old rules about matching the internal write bandwidth to the physical write bandwidth, and so on.

Subject: db_file_simultaneous_writes parameter
Should it be 2*cpu_count ?
Is it related/independent of db_writers ?
