Timed_statistics, True or False

Hello,

My searches in Metalink show timed_statistisc=True is the recommended setting. I'm hearing that some Oracle classes recommend keeping timed_statistics=False unless you are tracing.

Other than, 'It depends', what do you have your statistics set for?

We have SQL_TRACE on all the time. I'd prefer having timed_statistics=true so I can grep for the total line in a large number of tkprof output files, and selectively find the long-running transactions.

Any opinions are welcome.

Thanks,
