InterMedia Text vs.Mercado IntuiFind

(good?) Morning all -

I am looking for both good and bad experiences with InterMedia Text. We are 8.1.5, going to 8.1.6 very soon, on HP/UX 11.0. I have read the doco on and done some preliminary messing around with InterMedia Text. It doesn't provide outstanding performance. I did notice that the index I created for InterMedia causes errors in our nightly export. I think there's got to be an optimal setting for all the parameters for our specific need that I just haven't hit yet. Man this thing is complex.

Has anyone used this Mercado IntuiFind product? If so I'd love to hear about it.

I would also love any links to white papers on InterMedia.
