RE: Unix : How to cut a file into pieces?

www.lazydba.com.... check the scripts archives, look under export/import

I have posted a script there that does an export piped into a compress piped into a split and one that puts the files all back together for the import.

but if you split it on Unix, I don't believe there is an equivalent command to pipe it back into the import.

Rather than compress, use zip or pkzip for unix
